Guido Fredrich Named VP, Development – Luxury & Lifestyle, EAME at Hyatt

Hyatt has appointed Guido Fredrich as Vice President, Development – Luxury & Lifestyle, EAME, where he will lead the growth of the company’s Luxury and Lifestyle portfolios across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Fredrich joins Hyatt at a pivotal stage in the company’s regional expansion, as it continues to strengthen its presence in culturally relevant gateway cities and iconic leisure destinations across EAME.

Recent additions to Hyatt’s regional portfolio include Andaz Lisbon and Miraval the Red Sea, while Thompson Seville, Thompson Rome and The Standard Lisbon are expected to open before the end of 2026.

Fredrich Brings Extensive Development Experience

Fredrich brings more than 15 years of international experience across hospitality development and real estate. He previously held a senior development role at Hyatt, where he oversaw more than 15 market entries across several of the company’s brands.

Before returning to Hyatt, Fredrich served as Chief Development Officer at Corinthia Hotels, leading the global expansion of the Corinthia brand, securing strategic market entries and strengthening its luxury presence across key markets.

Earlier, he served as Head of Asset Strategy at Signa.

Focus on Strategic Regional Growth

Felicity Black Roberts, SVP Development EAME, Hyatt, said Fredrich’s appointment reflects the company’s commitment to continued, intentional growth across the region.

She highlighted his track record of identifying strategic market opportunities and his understanding of strong brand differentiation as key strengths that will support Hyatt’s development strategy.

Fredrich noted that despite macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty, demand for high-quality hotels remains resilient, with travellers increasingly seeking distinctive experiences.

According to Fredrich, Hyatt’s portfolio of brands, each with distinct personalities and purposes of stay, positions the company to respond to this changing demand. The company’s focus will remain on bringing the right brands to the right locations with the right owners across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Fredrich Returns to Hyatt
