SBI Card Elevates Vishal Wadhwa to Senior Vice President for Brand and Digital Marketing

SBI Card has elevated Vishal Wadhwa to Senior Vice President – Brand & Digital Marketing, expanding his leadership mandate across brand, digital marketing and consumer research.

Wadhwa has been with SBI Card for more than seven years and has previously led brand communication and research, overseeing teams responsible for communication across the company’s credit card portfolio.

Expanded Role at SBI Card

In his new role, Wadhwa will lead the company’s brand, digital marketing and consumer research functions.

His mandate will include overseeing brand initiatives, digital marketing activities and consumer research, bringing these areas together under his expanded leadership responsibilities.

More Than Seven Years at SBI Card

Wadhwa joined SBI Card in June 2019 as Vice President. During his tenure, he has been heading brand communication and research, managing teams responsible for communication across SBI Card’s credit card portfolio.

His elevation builds on his experience within the company and expands his responsibilities across key marketing functions.

Six Years at Vodafone Idea

Before joining SBI Card, Wadhwa spent six years at Vodafone Idea, where he served as Brand Vertical Head from July 2013 to June 2019.

During his tenure, he worked across both the Vodafone and Idea brands, gaining experience in brand management within the telecommunications sector.

Experience at Tata Docomo

Prior to Vodafone Idea, Wadhwa spent more than eight years at Tata Docomo.

He served as Senior Manager and Marcom Head from December 2004 to June 2013, handling marketing communications responsibilities during his tenure with the telecom brand.

Started Career with LG Electronics India

Wadhwa began his professional career at LG Electronics India, where he worked as Marketing Manager from April to December 2004.

In the role, he handled ATL and BTL activities in Punjab, marking the start of a career spanning brand marketing, communications and consumer-focused functions.

Focus on Brand and Digital Marketing

With his expanded mandate, Wadhwa will oversee brand, digital marketing and consumer research at SBI Card. The role brings together his experience in brand communication, research and marketing across financial services and telecommunications.
