Marc Veelenturf Takes the Helm at CNS Middle East

Ghobash Group has appointed Marc Veelenturf as Managing Director of CNS Middle East, alongside responsibility for the Group’s broader technology cluster. The appointment comes as the UAE-based conglomerate continues to strengthen its technology portfolio and expand its focus on digital transformation, artificial intelligence and secure innovation.

In his new role, Veelenturf will oversee CNS Middle East and the Group’s wider technology operations across the region. His mandate will focus on driving commercial excellence, strengthening customer relationships and enabling businesses to achieve measurable outcomes through technology.

Nearly Two Decades of Middle East Experience

Veelenturf brings nearly 20 years of experience in the Middle East and more than 25 years of global leadership experience across technology and digital transformation.

He joins Ghobash Group from Atos, where he served as CEO for the Middle East & Türkiye and Chief Growth Officer for International Markets. During his tenure, he focused on driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships and delivering value for clients.

Throughout his career, Veelenturf has held senior leadership positions at organisations including Nokia, Ericsson, Amdocs, BT, PwC, Mitel and Philips. His experience spans software, hardware and technology services, with a track record of leading large-scale transformation programmes and managing complex operations across challenging markets.

Focus on Technology, Data and AI

At CNS Middle East, Veelenturf will lead the company alongside Ghobash Group’s broader technology cluster, with a focus on helping customers adopt secure and effective technology solutions.

His priorities will include application transformation, data and artificial intelligence, advanced cybersecurity and digital innovation, areas that are increasingly central to organisations seeking to improve efficiency and create sustainable business value.

The appointment also reflects Ghobash Group’s broader strategy of investing in technology and AI as catalysts for regional growth and digital advancement.
