OpenAI Names Deepak Singh as Partner Director for India

OpenAI has appointed Deepak Singh as Partner Director – India, bringing an experienced enterprise and partnerships leader into the company’s India operations. OpenAI has appointed Deepak Singh as Partner Director – India, bringing an experienced enterprise and partnerships leader into the company’s India operations.

Singh announced the move through a LinkedIn post, saying he was “excited to begin a new chapter with OpenAI” and would focus on helping build and scale GTM partnerships in India.

In his new role, Singh will focus on developing strategic partnerships and go-to-market initiatives in India, working with customers and partners as organisations increasingly explore enterprise AI adoption.

Experience Across Google and AWS

Singh joins OpenAI from Palo Alto Networks, where he most recently served as Senior Director – Enterprise Business, India and SAARC. He joined the cybersecurity company in August 2025 and was responsible for its enterprise business across the region.

Before Palo Alto Networks, Singh spent more than four years at Google, where he served as Head – Enterprises, Corporate Segment, India & SAARC. During his tenure, he worked on enterprise business development and cloud adoption, including data analytics and generative AI workloads.

Singh also brings extensive experience from Amazon Web Services (AWS). His roles at the company included India Partner Leader – Enterprise Segment and Business Development Manager, India Region. His career at AWS included work across enterprise partnerships, business development and cloud adoption.

Between his AWS roles, Singh worked with Alibaba Cloud as Head – Channel & Alliances, India and SAARC. He has also held positions at VMware, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Intel Technology India, Wipro and Team Computers.

Focus on Partnerships and AI Adoption

Singh brings more than two decades of enterprise technology experience, including extensive experience across cloud computing, data and AI. His career has covered enterprise sales, business development, partnerships, cloud adoption and go-to-market strategy.

His appointment comes as OpenAI continues to expand its commercial and enterprise presence in India. The company has been building its India operations and hiring for sales and customer-facing roles as it develops its presence in the market.

At OpenAI, Singh’s partnership-focused mandate will bring together his experience in enterprise technology, cloud platforms and partner ecosystems as the company works to expand go-to-market relationships and AI adoption across India.
