Mayank Kumar Takes Charge of Content and Creative Marketing at IndiGo

Mayank Kumar has joined IndiGo as Head of Content and Creative – Marketing, taking on a new role focused on the airline’s content and creative marketing efforts.

Kumar announced the move in a LinkedIn post, saying, “New chapter! I’ve joined IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation) as head of content and creative.”

Kumar Moves From MobiKwik

Kumar joins IndiGo from MobiKwik, where he served as Head of Content – Associate Director, overseeing brand, social, CRM and app content from June 2025 to August 2026.

His role at MobiKwik covered multiple aspects of content and brand communication, adding to his experience across digital and marketing-led content functions.

Nearly Nine Years at MakeMyTrip

Before MobiKwik, Kumar spent nearly nine years at MakeMyTrip, holding roles across content marketing. He most recently served as Senior Manager, Content Marketing.

His tenure at the travel company gave him extensive experience in developing content within the travel and digital marketing ecosystem.

Began Career in Travel Journalism

Kumar began his career at Times Internet/Times of India, where he worked as Editor – Travel. He later moved into advertising and creative communications, working as a Copywriter at Vigilante Communication.

His career has therefore spanned travel journalism, copywriting, content marketing, brand communication and digital content.

New Content and Creative Mandate at IndiGo

In his new role at IndiGo, Kumar will lead the airline’s content and creative marketing function. His experience across travel, financial technology and digital content brings together sector knowledge with a broad background in content strategy and brand communications.
