Thales has appointed Ashley Knapp as Communications Director, Asia, based in Singapore. Nearly Four Years at Schneider Electric

Knapp joins Thales after nearly four years at Schneider Electric, where she served as Head of Brand and Corporate Affairs, East Asia, from June 2022 to April 2026.

During her tenure, she led corporate, executive, internal and external communications across 14 countries, working with a regional community of around 20 communicators.

Her responsibilities included reputation management, executive communications, crisis communications, media relations and employee engagement.

Focus on Sustainability and Green IT

At Schneider Electric, Knapp also led the company’s Green Impact Gap campaign, which focused on topics including artificial intelligence, sustainability and Green IT.

The initiative added to her experience in developing communications around technology and sustainability-related issues.

Experience in Reputation and Stakeholder Communications

Before joining Schneider Electric, Knapp was Senior Vice President at Teneo, where she advised leadership teams on reputation risk, ESG disclosure narratives and stakeholder communications.

She also previously worked as an independent Strategic Communications Advisor, supporting organisations on communications strategy and related matters.

Earlier Role with 100 Resilient Cities

Earlier in her career, Knapp served as Head of Communications, Asia Pacific, at 100 Resilient Cities, an initiative pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Her experience across corporate affairs, strategic communications, reputation and stakeholder engagement now comes together in her new regional communications role at Thales.
