Steelbird Names Vinay Kumar as Senior Manager – PR & Communications

Steelbird Hi-Tech India has appointed Vinay Kumar as Senior Manager – PR & Communications. In his new role, Kumar will lead media relations, corporate communications, brand positioning and strategic PR initiatives for the company.

He will also oversee Steelbird’s communication agencies and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency across messaging, brand narrative and day-to-day communication activities.

Experience Across PR and Automotive Communications

Kumar brings over four years of experience in public relations and strategic communications, with significant exposure to the automotive and mobility sectors.

Before joining Steelbird, he was associated with Regional Public Relations (RPR), a full-service communications consultancy established in 2009. The agency works across corporate communications, media relations, digital and social, regional PR, crisis communications and online reputation management, with a network spanning multiple offices and partner associates across India.

During his tenure at RPR, Kumar managed communication mandates across sectors and developed expertise in media engagement, press relations, strategic storytelling, product communication, launches, press meets, influencer engagement and corporate PR.

Transition to an In-House Communications Role

Kumar has been associated with Steelbird for the past three-and-a-half years, giving him an in-depth understanding of the company, its leadership, products, business priorities and evolving position within India’s two-wheeler ecosystem.

With his transition into an in-house role, Kumar will now take charge of Steelbird’s communication agenda, managing relationships with key media stakeholders and driving a unified approach to PR and brand communications.
