Sarah M. George Joins Muthoot FinCorp Board as Independent Director

Muthoot FinCorp Limited (MFL) has appointed Sarah M. George as an Independent Director on its Board, strengthening the company’s leadership expertise across audit, assurance, governance, strategy and organisational leadership.

The appointment comes as Muthoot FinCorp continues to strengthen its institutional capabilities and governance framework.

Over 35 Years of Professional Experience

George brings more than 35 years of professional experience across leading audit and assurance organisations, including S R Batliboi, an EY affiliate firm, Haribhakti & Co., and Price Waterhouse, which she joined in March 2012.

At Price Waterhouse, she held several senior leadership positions, including All India Assurance Markets Leader and West Region Assurance Leader. She also served as Deputy Strategy Leader for the Americas and Asia Pacific region.

In December 2018, George was elected to the India Board of Price Waterhouse, where she served until March 2023. She also served as D&I Leader for the India West Region and as Chief Presiding Officer on the Internal Complaints Committee for the regulated firms.

Cross-Sector Industry Expertise

George’s professional experience spans Indian and multinational organisations, covering both listed and unlisted companies.

Her sector exposure includes EPC, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, retail, IT, consumer products, engineering, shipping and services.

Her extensive experience in audit, assurance, governance and strategic leadership is expected to add further depth to Muthoot FinCorp’s Board deliberations.
