Sai Ganesh has joined Emergent as Head of Brand and Marketing (Global), according to his LinkedIn profile. Based in Bengaluru, Ganesh started the new role in September 2026. Moving Into AI After a Brand-Building Career

Before joining Emergent, Ganesh worked as a self-employed brand consultant from August 2022, advising startups and legacy brands on brand positioning and marketing.

During this period, he also founded India Wants to Know Quiz (IWTKquiz) in July 2022.

His move to Emergent marks a return to a full-time leadership role after more than four years working independently across brand and marketing assignments.

Nearly Four Years at Dunzo

Ganesh previously spent nearly four years at Dunzo, where he served as Head of Brand from August 2018 to May 2022.

At the quick-commerce and delivery platform, he handled consumer communications and campaigns and led a 15-member in-house marketing and brand team.

Marketing Leadership at Zomato

Prior to Dunzo, Ganesh was AVP, Marketing at Zomato from June 2017 to July 2018.

In the role, he led growth and marketing for Zomato Gold across India, the UAE and Portugal, giving him experience in building and scaling a consumer-facing proposition across multiple markets.

Focus on Building Products and Businesses

Announcing his appointment at Emergent, Ganesh wrote that the next few years would be about “helping millions of people build theirs”, referring to the products and businesses he would work on at the AI company.

He also said he is looking to build a team of people who “love to build in public”.

A New Chapter in Brand and Marketing

Ganesh’s appointment brings his experience across consumer technology, brand strategy, marketing and startup consulting to Emergent as the company develops its brand and marketing function globally.

His move also marks a shift from advising businesses and brands independently to taking on a global leadership mandate within the AI sector.
