GP Petroleums appoints Mr. Rahul Arun Shetty as Additional Director (Non-Executive, Independent)

GP Petroleums Limited, the Company behind the IPOL range of automotive and industrial lubricants, has announced the appointment of Mr. Rahul Arun Shetty as an Additional Director (Non-Executive, Independent) on its Board. His term runs for two years, commencing September 21, 2026.

Mr. Shetty brings close to 20 years of experience in investment banking and real estate. He is the Founder and Director of Optimus Investments, a London-headquartered firm that has been structuring UK real estate deals, asset management mandates and capital raising for international investors since 2019. Earlier in his career, he worked as an investment banker with Lehman Brothers, Nomura and Barclays, and he currently also serves as a Non-Executive Independent Director on the board of Vedanta Power.

As GP Petroleums looks to grow its lubricants business and deepen its presence in both domestic and international markets, the Board has been steadily adding perspectives that go beyond the industry itself. Mr. Shetty’s appointment reflects this approach, bringing a finance and capital markets lens to the Company’s governance as it works through its next phase of expansion. He will also serve as a Member on GP Petroleums’ Audit Committee and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
