DMRC Promotes Tomojit Bhattacharjee to Additional GM – Corporate Communications

Tomojit Bhattacharjee has been promoted to Additional General Manager – Corporate Communications at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), marking the latest milestone in a career that has spanned more than 17 years with the organisation.

Bhattacharjee announced the move in a LinkedIn post, sharing that he had started his new role as Additional General Manager – Corporate Communications at DMRC.

Over 17 Years at DMRC

Bhattacharjee has been part of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation since 2008 and most recently served as Joint General Manager.

Over the years, he has progressed through several leadership positions within the organisation, including Senior Deputy General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Manager and Assistant Manager, building extensive experience across corporate communications and public relations.

A Career Rooted in Communications

Before joining DMRC, Bhattacharjee began his career as an Assistant Public Relations Officer at NTPC.

He also worked in journalism, serving as a Sub Editor-cum-Reporter at IANS India and as a Deskperson-cum-Reporter at Press Trust of India (PTI).

His experience across media and corporate communications has shaped a career spanning public relations, journalism and strategic communications.

Leading DMRC’s Corporate Communications Function

In his new role, Bhattacharjee will continue contributing to DMRC’s corporate communications function, drawing on nearly two decades of experience within the organisation.

His promotion reflects a long-standing career of progression at DMRC, where he has steadily advanced through multiple leadership roles while contributing to the organisation’s communications and public engagement efforts.
