CrediMax Appoints Andrew Hocking as Chief Executive Officer

CrediMax, a leading payment solutions provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has appointed Andrew Mark Hocking as its Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Hocking will lead the company through its next phase of growth and oversee the execution of its strategy as CrediMax continues to advance its payments and FinTech business.

More Than Two Decades of Global Experience

Hocking brings more than 20 years of international experience across payments, banking and FinTech. His career spans senior executive and strategy roles at global organisations, with experience across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa.

His expertise includes business transformation, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, as well as mergers and acquisitions. His appointment adds extensive international payments and financial technology experience to CrediMax’s leadership team.

Board Welcomes New CEO

Yaser Alsharifi, Chairman of CrediMax, welcomed Hocking’s appointment and highlighted his experience across diverse payments markets.

Hocking Outlines Growth Priorities

Commenting on his appointment, Hocking said he was honoured to lead CrediMax and build on the company’s role in Bahrain’s payments sector.

My ambition is to take the business into its next phase of growth by making our services more efficient and relevant, pursuing promising commercial opportunities, and strengthening CrediMax’s presence locally and across the region,” he said.

Hocking added that the company would remain responsive to market needs while maintaining operational discipline and high standards of execution. He also said he looked forward to building on CrediMax’s contribution to Bahrain’s payments landscape and supporting the Kingdom’s drive towards a more competitive digital economy.

Leadership Experience

Before joining CrediMax, Hocking served as Chief Executive Officer of Tribe Payments, having initially joined the company as Chief Strategy Officer.

His previous leadership roles include Chief Executive Officer of Pay.com, Chief Strategy and Analytics Officer at Network International, and Head of Strategic Planning at Elavon.

With experience spanning payments, banking and FinTech markets, Hocking will now lead CrediMax as it enters its next phase of development and works to expand its presence across Bahrain and the wider region.
