Vineet Jain Joins Reliance Retail as COO – Fashion & Lifestyle

Vineet Jain has joined Reliance Retail’s Fashion & Lifestyle business as Chief Operating Officer, moving from V-Mart Retail, where he served as Chief Operating Officer.In his new role, Jain will oversee operations across Reliance Retail’s Fashion & Lifestyle business, with responsibilities spanning operational performance, customer experience, business development and network expansion. Nearly Three Decades of Retail Experience

Jain brings nearly 30 years of experience in the retail sector, with a career spanning organised retail, business transformation and operations.

Before joining Reliance Retail, he spent more than four years with V-Mart Retail as Chief Operating Officer, where he led business and operational transformation initiatives.

Extensive Experience with Future Group

Prior to V-Mart Retail, Jain spent more than 17 years with Future Group, taking on several leadership positions, including CEO – North India.

During his tenure, he worked across major retail formats including Big Bazaar, Food Bazaar and FBB. He was also involved in the development of the Big Bazaar GEN NXT format and led the turnaround of Easyday and Big Apple.

Early Leadership Roles in Organised Retail

Jain was previously part of the founding leadership team at Vishal Retail, where he contributed to the development of its organised retail business.

He began his professional career in the textile and financial services sectors, before building extensive expertise in retail operations and business leadership.

Strong Academic and Professional Credentials

Jain is a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant and has also completed the Company Secretary (Inter) qualification. He holds a Commerce degree from the University of Calcutta.

His executive education includes programmes at Harvard Business School and IIM Ahmedabad, along with the Executive Leadership Programme at INSEAD.

With his extensive experience across retail operations, transformation and network-led businesses, Jain will take on the mandate of strengthening operational performance and supporting the continued expansion of Reliance Retail’s Fashion & Lifestyle business.
